FOR THE KIDS

For the Kids, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded by Gary Heldt, Jr., owner of Small Business Advisors, and Mike Thomas, owner of Lighthouse Insurance Services in 2000. For The Kids knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch For The Kids.

For the Kids was started as a way to help local families and give back to community. Each year a local child suffering from a serious illness and in need of financial support is selected as the beneficiary. Thanks to the generosity of many supporters, For the Kids has been able to donate more than $600,000 to local families in need.

Meet “For The Kids” 2024 Beneficiary

Please help us support Dominick and the Pumilia family! Dominick is a 12-year- old young man from Bel Air, MD who is fighting an inoperable papillary pineal gland tumor. Shortly after he was born, Dominick lost his dad to the same type of tumor. Dominick loves baseball, collecting baseball cards, and playing on a special needs baseball team when his health allows. Please help us support Dominick and the Pumilia family!
